High Point Regional Hospital – Women’s Center

The fifth floor north existing Women’s Center unit consists of 30 Post-Partum patient rooms and private Patient Bath Rooms at approximately 170 SF for each room type with six rooms per pod. As part of this project, we enlarged these rooms by reducing the pods from six rooms to four rooms per pod with one an Isolation Room. This increased the Postpartum rooms and Patient Bath rooms to 242 SF or 275 SF for each room type. The center support core was also redesigned to maximize adjacencies to each pod in order to improve nursing workflow to better direct visitors to the nurses’ station and through the unit.
