The Cath Lab Expansion at Kernersville Medical Center is an expansion of the hospital into the Courtyard of the 1st floor between the existing radiology and surgical services departments. This expansion was a planned expansion during the original hospital design and construction specifically for this purpose.
The new Cath unit provides eight pre/post bays, support space and one Cath/EP Lab. A placeholder for a future lab is currently designed as conference space for the radiology department.
