The Women’s Center Addition to Matthews Medical Center expands the existing 2nd Floor Womens and adds 10 LDRPs, 2 Ante-Partum, and relocates the existing Level 3 NICU with 8 bassinets. The new structure provides parking beneath and a connector to the existing 2nd floor, where it connects to the newly renovated 23 LDRPs (under separate project).
The Phase II construction renovated the core area around the previously renovated rooms in the existing building, providing staff and clinical support space, newborn nursery, C-Section, Surgeon’s Lounge and upgraded finish throughout the public corridors.
