The new Presbyterian Hospital Women’s Center is a multi-phased, vertical expansion above the “B” Parking Deck and Hemby’s Children Hospital (including renovation to the existing sixth and seventh floors of the Hospital) that addresses the need for a state-of-the-art Women’s Center in Uptown Charlotte. McCulloch England has worked hand-in-hand with Presbyterian’s Facility Planning Department in establishing the project’s major phases, including developing a “Departmental Move Matrix,” designing temporary facilities for interim departmental moves, designing temporary HVAC solutions, and acquiring the approval of all “Phasing Issues” with local and state regulatory agencies. This project has won two awards, the Southeast Construction Award Winner, Best of 2004 Award Best Private Building, and the Associated Builders and Contractors of the Carolinas (ABCC) “Excellence in Construction”.
